About
In May 2003, a band director walked into the chorus room. As the chorus director was recovering from the shock, the band director said, “I hear we’re going to be working together, and I thought I’d come introduce myself.”
And a partnership was born.
Kriston Feldpausch and Steve Raybould together make BNC Education. In the early days, they were music directors forging what seemed to everyone else an unusual alliance that made incredible music and musicians. Working together, their programs increased by an astounding 374% in two years’ time.
As time went on, their music programs continued their amazing success. But the passion of these directors began to be focused in a new area. What began as a two classroom effort expanded into other classrooms as these directors helped other teachers, both new and veteran, find a renewed excitement in making music with their students. This passion inspired the award winning book, Teaching Band and Chorus in the 21st Century.
Kriston and Steve from the start created a unique music experience for their students. BNC Education is also unique in that the experience comes to the school, to the director. Kriston and Steve know how hard it is to manage a program with many students. By working harder, BNC Education brings freedom to the music director so that they can do what they love most: make music with their students.
BNC Education’s mission is simple: they are willing to do what no one else is willing to do: collaborate with music educators, providing tools and training to provide dynamic student experiences. BNC Education works harder because it’s the music that matters.
